Summer flowering plants are really  exciting because there are so many different and diverse varieties to choose from. Summer flowering bulbs bloom from late spring through to fall. There is a huge variety to choose and include bulbs like lilies, corms like gladioli and crocosmia, tubers like dahlias and begonias and rhizomes like agapanthus and cannas.

Summer flowering bulbs should planted in spring when the temperature is consistently 60°F or higher. To plant:

1. Prepare the soil by adding compost or manure.
2. Place the bulb in a hole that is 3 times deeper than the size of the bulb.
3. Water thoroughly and regularly allowing the soil to dry between watering.
4. Keep weed-free.
