PLANTING TULIPS

Tulips are plants that do not require much tending, making them ideal for landscaping. Tulip bulbs are easily planted in the following manner:

• The Oxford tulip bulbs should be planted four inches in fertile soil and approximately two inches apart from one another;
• Plant the flower bulbs in a spot with moderate to high sunshine. The flowers prefer a spot in the sunlight, but also bloom very well in half shade;
• Depending on the area, the flowers should be planted before the first frost, somewhere between September and December. Laying in the ground, they can withstand the frost. After planting them, they will bloom mid-spring.
